I'm using Outlook 2013 and I cannot get the To-Do bar to minimize to the right size of the application window as it did in Outlook 2010.

The minimum width of the pane (note: I say "pane" because we can no longer minimize to a "bar") is quite huge (a little more than the width of the calendar chart), and takes up way too much screen real estate, even on a 1920x1200 monitor. In our office most engineers put the "Reading Pane" on the right, allowing for seeing (vertically) longer emails, as well as more email subjects in their inbox, but now people that are accustomed to using the To-Do are being encouraged to simply stay on Outlook 2010.

Is there an existing workaround (in the works) ??

Hi,

Many users have noticed that this "minimize" feature has been removed since Outlook 2013. Now we can only turn it "Off" instead of "minimize".

A workaround is to use the Reading View Button in the lower-right corner of the Outlook Window:

It hides the To-Do Bar (and hides the Folders Pane and the Ribbon). If you click the one to the left, it reopens all of those, and the To-Do Bar opens with all its sections in-place and intact.

Not much of a workaround. In 2010 the minimized to-do bar constantly showed the next meeting. With only open/close I either lose a large portion of screen space (the monitor is turned to portrait) and see more that I need/want or I get nothing.

Without the minimize function, all the options are 'click somewhere to see it' or have it full permanently
